When Russia was going to put missiles on Cuba we almost started WWIII over it.

Is Ukraine and the US (as we all know we own NATO) a somewhat mirror situation?

Is Ukraine Russia’s Cuban missile crisis?

That said, I wish the potato and chief would care as much about important HK as he does pointless Ukraine.

I don't think so. I think it's less cold war maneuvering, more mob power play. Putin knows western politicians (of all stripes) have been using the Ukraine as a haven and laundry for their dirty money for over 20 years. And they've been trying to cut him out of their grand schemes and make him the boogie man. So, why not hit them where it hurts, personally, while making them try to come up with reasons that anyone else (their populace) should care and make them look like buffoons in the process. If he manages to get his hands on shadow accounts, it could be embarrassing, and with more eyes on Ukraine, more people start asking questions. Regardless, it makes it harder for the politicians to launder their dirty money through board positions and corrupt banks. Now that's something worth fighting for!

thank god that happened years ago the pc crowd could not have pulled it off today . They also would and could not have fought Germany and or japan and oh hell no to standing up to Russia in the 60's or today .

It’s pretty interesting with bidens interests in Ukraine that is JUST so happens all this drama occurs with him in office.

Almost as much of a coincidence as bat soup causing a virus outbreak right next to a virus factory.

Yes, there's some of that to this. Imagine if Russia wanted Canada to join and started moving troops in. I think we'd all be a bit miffed and concerned.

But there is more at play in Ukraine. Lots of dirty-ass money. How much has the US given Ukraine in total "aid"? Bullshit.

that’s because Vlad has the evidence on all the U.S. politicians. they do anything other than sabre rattle, and he’ll put it out there along with whatever else he is going to do. as for the ukraine….i dont care. they got into bed with serpents when they allowed the crooked american politicians in. now they are reaping what they sowed.
Vlad has the dirt on all of them and what the fuck are any of them going to do about it? i dont see vlad as the bad guy here.

The current president of Ukraine cut that head off along with the Biden family gravy train.
Do you understand that Ukraine does a lot of trade with us?
This will kill farmers selling grains.
There's an industry that makes a specialty gas that 99% get used in the USA for chip production.

I don’t think I have one product made in Ukraine, nor do I contract with anyone in the Ukraine, I don’t think most in the world could find Ukraine on a un labled map, it could disappear and not a fuck would be given.

Russia has less economic and mil power than the state of TX, shit trying to take Ukraine might stress the already shitty Russian mil to the limit

I’m just not playing the shell game, our mil should have two concerns, our S boarder and putting china back in its box.

How is it our problem at all? Why do we give a fuck? Russia has almost zero influence on the west or really any interests in it.

China on the other hand...we are looking at the big mean scary bear while the chinamen have infiltrated every bit of our economy, education, and government.

the evil white Russians are the designated scapegoat while China gets all the respect of the sports community, congress, and even has the right somehow to criticize America's 'racism' and 'gun culture'.

China bought us, Russia is just the distraction from that reality.

Parallels but not really equivalent, as Cuba was more complex:
Russia had intermediate range ballistic missiles in Cuba, but the US had placed (directly or by proxy) Jupiter C missiles in Turkey capable of reaching Moscow with a megaton warhead.

The Russians backed out of Cuba after a secret envoy reached agreement to have the Jupiters quietly moved out of Turkey, which was a massive issue for them as there was less than 10 minutes from launch to boom.
(This was probably good all around as the Jupiters had a tendency to start their arming sequence in lightning storms. )

So no, this is not Russia's Cuban crisis.

Ukraine will fall its about Putin's legacy , whats funny is we talked Ukraine into giving up the nukes in return we would provide protections. Unfortunately Lets Go Brandon the local village idiot is in charge and the reason Russian tanks are taking Ukraine.

There has to be several Ukrainians that have valuable Lets Go Brandon information that they could use to make some relocation dollars.
