Getting my rifle set up I have an AE MKII with a picatiny rail and I purchased an S&B PMII 5-25 x56. Looking for a set of high quality scope rings that won't pinch or mar my scope and don't need to be lapped. Throw out some thoughts.

Your AE has a 0 moa pic rail, if I'm not mistaken. In this case, I would say that you should get the AI 45 moa pic rail mount for this scope. It was designed for this scope, from what I have been told.

If you go with an 18 moa mount or a 28 moa mount, the mount will need to be machined for clearance of the large erector housing in the 5-25. The 5-25 has enough travel that neither of those are the correct options anyhow.

The AI mount is less expensive than some quality rings out there, and I have never had one mar a scope (Badger rings did, on the other hand.)

I'm running the AI 45MOA mount on my AE with 5-25 and it works perfectly. No problem getting a 100 yard zero and I have 26.4 mils of elevation left. I've removed the mount from the rifle several times and have never had to touch the knobs and rezero, it's always spot on.

One thing I found with standard rings on AI's is how low the picatinny rail sits, the 1.0" high rings I used on my NF F1 put the scope very very low, and many people who shot my rifle couldn't get a sight picture. There are high enough rings that should work and you should have no problem getting you rifle out passed 1000 yards with no cant built in but the AI mount is the same price or less than the ring options and will let you get the most out of the scope. Plus the mounts are beefy as shit.
