I will be in the market for a new scope to go on a 338 Lapua build that I'm having built. The gun will utilize a left-handed defiance action with a 30 MOA base. I have been giving some serious consideration to the S&B 3 – 20 scope. I know I could get high enough rings and the bolt would clear the illumination knob on the left-hand side of the scope. My question is: will this be a problem with standard height rings? Say, 1-inch or .950 height? If you're a lefty with an S&B I would be especially interested to hear your opinions on the matter. If raking my knuckles on the illum knob is going to be a problem I might have to go with another option, maybe the new 6 – 24 Kahles. Thoughts?

I've got a lefty Defiance made action and a S&B 5-25. The illumination knob isn't in the way at all. PLENTY of clearance.
