My squaw bought a S&W 22s a couple of days ago.
I like it and it runs well.
It has black rubber grips and I looked at a 22a that had laminate grips before she bought this one.
I kind of liked the grips on the 22a more than what is on the s model.
Do you know if they will inter change or do you have any preference for something better?
Also, where would I purchase them?
Thanks, FM

Thanks for the link.
I had tried that before only to find out that they are closed through the Holidays, to end 3 Jan 12, so no one to talk to.
Thank you again for your help, Happy New Year. Regards, FM

Not sure about that but the way the catalog reads, it looks like it will fit either. A call on Monday sounds like the best plan.

Re: S&W 22s grips vs 22a

I have tried, with no success, to call them all morning.
Maybe everyone is all hungover and not accepting calls.
They don't even have good elevator music.
I will try again tomorrow.
This piece is nice and runs well, I just don't like the grips. I need something a little larger.
Thank you for your advice and Happy New Year.

Re: S&W 22s grips vs 22a

I too like the s model I have.
Runs great and is accurate, just don't like the grips too well.
I have looked on the internet for others and made lots of calls. No luck!!!
I have called S&W every day over the past week and never got to talk to anyone.
Poor customer relations to say the least. I have let the phone run with the elevator music for as long as an hour and a half, no answer.
The number I use is 1 800 331 0852.
I don't know what to do now other than grin and bare A-- it.
I guess I am stuck with what I have, but would sure think twice before buying another S&W product.
I would just order the grips if I knew they fit, but don't know if any other changes were made when they went from the s model to the a model.
Not too happy with S&W as a company.
Maybe it is just me.

Re: S&W 22s grips vs 22a

Do you think that S&W/ Thompson Center is all in this huge buyout of American gun manufactures?
Does that "group" have a number that you can call?
Seems strange to me that I would call the number for S&W and never get anyone after a week.
Rem. Marlin, etc. all in this consortium, maybe S&W too?
Any thoughts?
