The shipment of Sabatti US Rover Tacticals finally arrived from Italy and are instock at the importer Italian Firearms Group in Amarillo, Texas. I received a special version that they plan to start stocking as well with a Carbon wrapped barrel. The regular models are available in 6.5 creedmoor and .308, they include a stock similar in shape to a McMillian or Manners, with adjustable check rest. They have a DBM bottom metal that includes one 7 round magazine, and oversized bolt knob, a picatinny scope rail, picatinny rail for a bipod, threaded barrel with protector, as well as a muzzle brake and a very nice adjustable trigger. Straight out of the box all they need is a scope mounted and you are ready to shoot. All of the prototypes and pre production models I have shot have been very accurate out of the box. Consistantly sub 3/4 moa and a lot of groups sub 1/2 and that is using Prime Ammo 130 grain for the 6.5 and m118LR for the .308. I am looking forward to getting my new rifle out and chronoing it and getting some data. I will continue to update this thread with results. For now all I have is pictures of my version with the CF wrapped barrel, but the only difference between mine and the ones in stock is the barrel. LMK if you have any questions.

IMG_9602.JPG I was able to get out and zero the rifle real quick today, pretty nice .348" group with Prime Ammo 130 gr Match + while doing so. I hope to get more time behind it next week.

Good looking rifle! These rifles have piqued my interest..my questions would be is it a 700 footprint action and does it accept AI mags? Also how do you think that stock compares to an A5? It appears your rifle is accurate! Nice shooting

It's isn't a 700 footprint, it is it's own design, the stock is very nice and plenty rigid but it isn't a fiberglass stock like an a5 it's more of a polymer. I have confirmed figment with AI, magpul and it comes with a Victrix Armament mag.

Good stuff! There's lots of great new rifles sprouting up and this one caught my simply because it was just plain pretty

Kamkaze, looks promising. What are these priced at?

The carbon model I have has an MSRP of $1995 but retail will be well below that, the regular barreled version is right at $1400 MSRP. They have two chassis versions currently avail, the STR and STR sport which will come in at 2400 and 2000ish MSRP, lastly they have another lightweight minimalist chassis in the works the ST-17 which is supposed to be a sub $1K rifle. The Rover Tactical US, STR and ST-17 will all share the same barreled action, the only difference will be the stock/chassis and price. The STR sport will have a very heavy profile more geared towards benchrest and will not be threaded.

Hey Kamkaze-
I've been looking and reading up on:
1. Sabatti STR
2. Tikka t3 tac
3. Bergara hmr pro
(All in 6.5cm)

All 3 seem to have EXCELLENT reputations, and all 3 are fairly close in price.
I lean a little more the the Sabatti STR bcuz of its 26" heavy barrel, that I believe is a threaded barrel.
In this group, which would you "do", and why?
I just got a Vortex golden eagle to sit atop whatever rifle comes my way.

I am life long shooter, and just now getting into F class debauchery. I've been using a HB Savage axis 22-250, and a cheap Chinese 10-40 scope, and 50 gr. hornady "red box" performance. I'm hitting 6" steel about 75% of the time at 520 yds. If wind kicks up, im about 50/50.
Thanks for your opinion sir. ?

I’m running a Sabatti US Tactical 26” 6.5 Creedmoor. The rifle feels great! Very good trigger and so far it likes the MDT and MagPul mags. The 5R rifling is much easier to clean.

I have a new Sabatti EVO in 6.5 Creedmoor. They lighten the stock up. And changed the receiver and bolt. It has three lugs and a 60 degree throw. Barrel is also not as heavy. Slight taper. I also own two of their tactical rovers. One in 223 Remington and another in 300 Winchester. Every time I take them to he range they attract other members. People really seam to notice how over sized the barrels are.
