I saw on the Hide, or perhaps somewhere else, mentioned a mod that replaces Marlin's cross bolt safety with a saddle ring.
Any body know were this is available?
That safety is the most bothersome thing Marlin ever came out with. Liability, I am sure. I forget it half the time, and when the hammer falls and no boom, I don't know if it is a misfire, or I didn't chamber one. Then I remember the safety.
Half-cock works for me.
