Gunsmithing Sako trg/ turfs question

Does any know if a trg .338 lapua 42 barrel Will thread onto a trgs 338 action. Thank you

If your asking if the barrel and action tenon are threaded, yes they are.

I apologize. I have the ability to buy a Sako TRG 42 barrel in 338 lapua. I also have the ability to buy a Sako TRGS action in 338 LaPua. I do not want to use the standard barrel on the Sako trgs ,so I'm wondering if the TR G 42 barrel will thread directly onto it. I would then be placing it in a custom stock.

You will need to confirm the headspace on the TRG barrel, and adjust as necessary. It probably won't be a drop in fit, especially if you want to time the markings.

I don't care about timing the markings. I am not a gun smith, what is the cost of someone timing the barrel for me. All I care about is that it shoots. I could care less about what my guns look like.

It will thread on but as noted you will likely need to adjust the headspace, we did.
