Just moved back to Texas. I am currently stationed in San Antonio and interested in hearing about any ranges worth joining in the area or meeting up with local members.
Things related to available shooting ranges in Texas have changed quite drastically within the last 30 years or so. At one time there was available at Camp Bullis, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camp_Bullis a very fine HP range with targets out to 1000 yards but I think that availability has been wiped out due to the fact that the military no longer thinks that rifle marksmanship is required...excluding the USMC of course! There was also a fine facility at Fort Wolters, Texas but the US Army took that away from civilians also! Texas, like a lot of areas, has forgotten it's history!!
