San Francisco began registering non-citizens, including undocumented immigrants, to register to vote Monday in the November election for the city school board, reported The San Francisco Chronicle.
The move follows passage of a 2016 ballot measure by San Francisco voters opening school elections to non-citizens who are over the age of 18, city residents and have children under age 19, reported the publication.
“This is no-brainer legislation,” Hillary Ronen, a San Francisco supervisor, told the Chronicle. “Why would we not want our parents invested in the education of their children?”

This is hardly without precedence as there is a long history across the US of allowing voting without citizenship. Federal law didn't prohibit non-citizens from voting until 1996, and that is only in federal elections, so SCOTUS is out of the picture here. Unfortunately, this is where they start as they know the schools is where the real indoctrination occurs, and the board is the ones who lay out what will and will not be taught. Nothing like developing your base from age 4.

The biggest worry I have about all this is California's "Motor-Voter" type law where it's on the DMV to verify citizenship while Cali also allows illegals to get driver's licenses, hardly the level or place I would be confident in accuracy and lack of corruption. That is the real gateway to illegal voting where it counts for all of us.

- Measure N in 2016 was passed by a 54% margin (2x prior failed attempts)
- Has a sunset provision for 2022 unless passed (not by the voter) by the board of supervisors (county / city council)
- Was ONLY for school board elections and is being extended by Officials (possibly) beyond the written scope of the voter approved measure

Second, non-citizens are only allowed to vote in school board elections.

Third, yes, illegals can vote, too, but that’s consistent with other city policies.

The paperwork they get makes it clear (in 14 languages) that they cannot vote for anything other than the school board.

Like was mentioned above they vote for city council positions based on city legislation. Not necessarily state or federal positions.
