How are its mechanical properties, is there a reduced friction to a certain degree that you have felt, did you apply it to rifle bolt and the reciever?

Sandstrom is a highly reputable company in their industry and I bought their products when I was working as a chief mechanical-engineer some years back. But I also learned to gather as much info as I could from those who were using and working with the products. Material info from the manufacturer is not the same as a hands on experience!

Sorry if I´m grilling you to much

Re: Sandstorm Poxylube?

oneyardstare,

No problem. I applied it to the barreled action and the bolt. There is a little drag at first like most coatings. But, the more the bolt is cycled the slicker it gets. Only takes about 50 cycles or so. And you can run it dry if in dusty conditions since is self lubricating. Probably the easiest to apply of all the coatings I have tried. Like other coatings if prepped correctly it will not flake or chip. Here is one I just finished for a customer last week. Hope this helps.
