Gunsmithing Savage 10 FP Mag Feeding Issue

I have a Savage 10Fp in .308 attached to a B&C Duramaxx stock-My 3rd rd out of the 4 rd mag continually is pushed out of the receiver prior to feeding by the bolt. 1st and 2nd rds feed fine-3rd ends up being spit out onto the bench or ground. 4th rd is fine-Today I experimented a bit and loaded 2-fine feed-Loaded 3 and the 2nd round kicked out. I am thinking a weak mag spring or it may not be seated in the stock properly

Any thoughts or ideas appreciated!

After this gets functional again I'll ask for help on my 1903 SA mag follower issue.That one has been driving me nuts for quite some time.

Try removing the action from the stock and turning the magazine follower/spring assembly around 180 degrees (front to rear). Sometimes that will help.
