So heres my deal, I am in the process of putting together a entry level rifle, I am getting a savage precision carbine, and putting on a falcon menace 5.5-25X56FFP, going to use a TPS base. I figured someone else already runs this setup, so I was wondering if they know the lowest ring height I can run on this.

not sure about the TPS, but i used a ferrel and EGW both with 20moa and i have a 4-16x50 scope. most everybody gets away with lows. the one alot use are burris xtr. those have 1/4 inch from bottom of scope to top of rail measurment. if you have the scope & rail, grab some pennies. stack them and set your scope on top. when it clears, measure the stack

EGW 20 MOA HD base on mine as well. 50mm objective.
I have the low alloy TPS rings and have no clearance issues.
