I have a stealth 338lm and would like to swap out to a carbon fiber barrel. I have contacted proof and carbon six. It seems as though carbon six is the only company that would make this barrel. I have heard of someone saying they wouldnt put a carbon barrel on the 110 stealth due to something not being strong enough I dont remember what part. Is this true and does anyone have a weight of the stock barrel? I would like to know how much weight I am cutting out by going to carbon. I'm wanting to turn the stealth into a lighter weight for elk hunting and would also like to swap out to a regular stock and not a chassis due to pistol grip being a pain while hiking. On the other hand should I just sell the stealth and start over with a different action? I was hoping to save money using stealth action with a new barrel and stock.
