Hey all, I just recently purchased a Savage 110 tact in 65CM and was wondering what everyone is using for a stocks. I see a lot of people these days using the MDT chassis but i'm not a chassis guy. Should i just go MDT chassis or are there some nice stock options?

The optimal stock/chassis choice very much depends on what you want to do with it. For example:
  • Hunting at close range? Stock set up for snapshotting.
  • Hunting at long range? Lightweight chassis.
  • Hunting in the mountains? The lightest stock you can find. At not much more weight (~2oz), XLR’s new chassis.
  • PRS? You want a full-length RRS rail and a barricade stop, but options are limited because Savage, so MDT ESS, MDT ACC, XLR Envy
  • Home range run by Fudds who will kick you off if it’s newer technology than 1960? Stock.
  • Tacticool? Too bad they never made an AICS for Savage :(
For the record, my Savage is in an MDT ESS with carbon everything possible. Because carbon is awesome.
