Working on a Savage 300WM build. Have a Manners T4A and CDI bottom metal to accept the AI 300WM magazines. I have the bottom metal in the stock and the bolt holes line up perfect with the action holes. Problem I have is that if I insert a magazine, the action/feedramp is in the way.. looks like it needs to be machined off about a .25" for the magazine to fit. Has anyone else run into this? Is it a common issue when using the AI mags in the Savage long actions?
I will probably just send down to Jeff to have it all done right, but was curious if anyone else has run into this. BTW.. this is a build off of the new 111 action with the bolt release on the trigger guard. Jeff has a fix for that so his DMB still works with the new bolt release setup.
