I have a Savage model 10 from 2001 currently chambered in 7mm-08. I recently changed the stock for an Oryx chassis and love it. My intention was to just rebarrel back into the same chamber but go to a medium profile barrel and thread the end for suppressor use. But I then started looking into my options and the 300WSM caught my eye. Don't ask me what I want it for other than wanting a magnum without buying a whole new rifle.
I know I need a new bolt head and mags. I will be contacting NSS to do the work.
Any issues with doing this? I read that chambering rounds could be an issue. If it is going to be temperamental then I may look into something else then.
