Savage 93r17 stock help

Hey guys, im trying to make the stock on my .17 stiffer so it has less flex, i just dont know how to go about doing it. I was thinking of putting a piece of aluminum arrow in it.I searched the forum but couldnt find anything. Any help would be appretiated.
