Gunsmithing Savage Action

Hey Everyone

I was wondering if you could help me out. I have a Savage Rifle that is in the fac H&S. Is it the larger ring reciever or the small ring. I am looking at buying a large ring barrel for it. Please help out. Thanks for help.

Probably a small shank barrel, what caliber is it?

Yep, small shank. Some of the WSM & RUM calibers & the Precision Target actions are the only ones I know of offhand that use the large shank barrels.
