savage back from gun-smith

picked up my rifle today from jeff at CDiPrecision,he did a very good job,he make the DBM system for the savage rifles.Im planning to head to the range next sunday to see how it works and to get some range time in.I still need new rings,base and a custom barrel so im open to options but for know im going to shoot the piss out of it

The dbm looks great! Looks like Jeff did a GREAT job building the system.

As far as the other stuff you're looking for....

Bases and rings,Badger ordnance,Seekins precision if money isn't an object.If it is then try the egw or the burris xtr's.Warne makes a very good product also.

Barrels, Sharp shooter supply carries custom barrels for the savage platform.But volumes could be written about the subject of custom barrels bro. Shilen,Benchmark are a few that are deffinatly worth looking into.

Looks great! Call Kevin Rayhill at Stockade for a barrel and to have the action trued and timed. The Benchmark barrels he uses are outstanding for the money.

Looks great James!!! Thanks again for being the staggerfeed "guinea pig". Looks like it turned out real nice.... let us know how it goes when you get it out to the range!

As for your other questions, I used the Warne 20 MOA picatinny base with Burris XTR rings on one of my Savages and a Badger 20 MOA base & Burris XTR's on another. They both are extremely durable and repeatable setups. The only aftermarket barrels I ran on mine came from Shilen, GREAT barrels but be prepared to wait 12-16 weeks for one.

Gun looks nice. But, could you show us some close ups of the fit. The more angles the better. I want to get one of these but I would like to see how they really look and fit.

Was it a staggered feed before? What type of magazine was it before you had it switched over. I have a older staggered feed Savage 10 that I would love to be able to put detachable mags in.

yes it was the stagger feed pre-accu trigger with the flat back and it had a blind internal 4 round system
