Gunsmithing Savage Large Shank barrel to AI AT

I have a Savage 12LRP in 260Rem with Bartlein med. palma barrel that has less than 800rounds and shoots great but would like to re-barrel the the 12LRP to a 223 for training/fun. If possible, I would like to have the 260 barrel from the savage (large shank) spun for an AI AT. Does anyone know if that's doable? Thanks

so you want to take a savage barrel and put it on an AI?

and put a 223 barrel on a 308 boltface gun?

buy an AI barrel in 260, and buy a new savage in 223

Savage has interchangeable bolts heads. It's going to cost $30 to change the bolt to a 223.
As far as the 260barrel, I realize that as is a large shank savage barrel will not fit an AI. I'm just wondering if it's possible to recut/chamber a large savage barrel to AI spec. I don't really need a 260 barrel for the AI but don't want to waste it either.
