Savage Mark II scope mounting issues??

I have a 2 piece mount on my .17hmr and the front mount clearly doesn't line up with the rear. I really did'nt notice anything obvious when i mounted the scope, but today when i tried to zero the gun it took every bit of bottoming out my windage nob to get a zero at 100yrds, and the more i look at the scope from the top the more it looks crooked. Could the holes have been misaligned at the factory?? I removed both mounts checked everything and remounted them with the same results...wtf

Is it an angled moa base?

Nope, zero MOA. The front base is rolled to the left like the mounting holes are out of alignment with the rear, or vise versa.

Yes, it is possible. Call Savage on the 16th when they get back from vacation.

they've been know t let some misaligned drilled receivers out of the factory before.
