Savage MKII Bases?

Anyone know of some scope bases for the Savage MKII that will allow you to use the iron sites? I have a set on mine now but they are way to high, Weaver #24 2 piece.

Too high how? Sight picture too high? Won't clear something too high? I know of several aperature sights that mount to picatinney rails so it may just be a matter of raising your cheek weld to get better sight picture if that's your problem. Sorry if I'm not much help

Yea, they are pretty much level with the rear sight making it hard to level out with the front sight.
