Have an opportunity to trade my Remmy 700 SPS for a Savage Model 10pc plus cash. Any reviews or insight on the 10pc would be greatly appreciated.

I personally like the Savage design over the Remington, but either are about equal...

both solid barrelled actions
both have crap stocks from the factory

the Savage is easier to upgrade yourself
the Remington has better resale

I own both Remington and a savage 12, love them both.
