I like 527s. Personally, a suppressed SBR 527 in 7.62x39 doesn't really interest me, but I'm happy for you getting your Birthday present out of jail. What is your intended use for the rifle, paper puncher? Steel rifle? Compact hog killer?

Then that ought to do nicely. Have you finished bedding the stock? The ones I've messed with were pretty, *ehem* generous, in their inletting around the receiver. Who knows, maybe the Golden Tiger would group even better. Have you tried any other ammo? I'm guessing that the groove diameter's .311" or so?

I have some aluminum pillars inbound because the stock way they do it is to use giant roll pins and that’s a no go for me so I’ll do a mild glass bedding once the marts get here

Nice! I have a little Howa mini in 7.62x39 with a 16.25" barrel, and it might well be my favorite rifle to shoot right now... I can only imagine how much more entertaining it would be as an SBR.

It doesn't like factory steel cased 154 gr rounds at all, but if I pay attention to my fundamentals it'll usually put up a ~1 MOA 5 round group using cheap-o 124 gr HP steel case.

Exactly I’m right around 1moa with golden tiger before adding pillars and bedding the action
