Good Morning All,

Purchased a new toy this weekend and sitting on top a Schmidt & Bender 3-12x50 30mm scope. Looks to be an older series, of course. Need a bit of help here.

Schmidt Bender 3-12x50 30mm scope tube
Reticle: Police FFP from appears on their website
Top Turret: 0-44 Bottom Row 1-10 Second Row

Production year, clicks in centimeters, meters, moa? When i Google search only see this scope on Accuracy International Rifle that came as a complete kit.

Any information would be helpful.. Thanks Guys

It's likely a 3-12x50 PM1. If it has the P3 modified reticule it's the MIL version that I believe AI put out. Depending on the serial number it's likely from the late 1990's. I just bought a very similar scope from SWFA, used but in like new condition. My serial is 189XXX and i was told by S&B New Hampshire that it was manufactured in 1997. It's a very robust scope - steel tube, FFP. Originally came with a BDC turret and a regular elevation turret. Both are numbered 0-44 with the BDC having additional upper numerals of 1-10 (supposedly covering 100 to 1000 yards for a 170 Lapua 308). I still have not determined if the turrets are mils or MOA and S&B NH has not responded to this question. If they are mils then I do not see how 4.5 mils gets you to 1000 yards and especially not 1000 meters. If MOA then that's more than enough with the scope zeroed at 100 yards at turret setting "1'. But, then the resolution is 1 MOA peer click - doesn't make sense. Mine came with AI P3 modified reticule that has the Bryant range bars. Nice and simple. The warranty/user manual claims the turrets are 1cm at 100 meters (mils). Hope that helps a bit.

Well looking at the pictures and the lower number graduations it certainly looks like 1 MOA per click turrets. Perhaps the OP can PM Jerry R a member here and a S&B scope SME...

Confirmed - The original PM MIL scope (3-12x50) by Schmidt and Bender has 1 MOA elevation and 1/2 MOA windage.
