Rifle Scopes Schmidt Bender purchasing info

I have been looking at long range tactical scope offerings and everything seems to point me toward a the Premier Reticles or the Schmidt Bender 5-25x56.

I like the details of the GenII XR reticle and it appears to be available in either scope. Although the scopes are different in their approach to the solution, there aren't too many obvious things to recommend one over the other except preferences. There do seem to be more dealers for the S-B, and it has a longer track record. All posts I can locate indicate that there is little to choose between the optical quality of either . . . both are superlative.

I am also intrigued by the March scopes. Again, optics and mechanicals are supposedly superlative, however, the selection of tactical style reticles is pretty sparse. There is only a single source at this point, and servicing, if needed, would seem to require a trip to Japan.

I am wondering whether there is anything to make me select between available sources for the Schmidt Bender PMII. Any differences in pricing or service, etc?

You can find some differences in prices on S&B scopes from vendors who support the Hide. You need to call or PM them and discuss. Also Hide member Matt in Virginia has good prices on S&B scopes.

+ 1 on Alex </div></div>+2 on Alex and Mile High Shooting,I love my S&B 5-25 if you get it make sure to get the p4f.as far as a S&B and Premier glass ,I would buy either and wouldn't say one was better than the other on glass quality.Just pick the one based on the turrets and reticle you like most.

If your have decided you want the Gen II XR reticle it would be easier to get it from Premier. S&B no longer offers this reticle in thier scope line up. The S&B's with the Gen II reticle are out there but difficult to find. I bought mine from Matt in Virginia. He is a member here.
