Rifle Scopes School me on the NF F1

I've ran across one of these at a decent price. It's a bit outside my comfortable range but I think I can swing it. Downside for me is the mildot reticle and little lower power than I wanted ( not really a big deal ).

It's in the $1600 range.

How far and what size targets are you trying to hit that 15x isn't enough?

$1600 is a great price for an F1... although i'm not a fan of the old mildot... if it's mil dot 2 though... i'd be all over it at that price.

Unfortunately it's the old mildot. 12" by 12" at 1500 yards. Will be shooting from 500 to 1500 most of the time.

For 1500 yards, I'd personally want more magnification for a 12" x 12". Of course other's mileage may vary.

I wonder how chubby that reticle is.

1600 for f1 i would buy even if i didnt want to use it i would make sure its f1 and nothing wrong with it .. good deal on one is around 2k used 1600 i would get a uso 10x that will take you out to 1k yards or step up and get F1 i just got mine and LOVE it but i would make sure its F1 because non F1 models are about 1600

also how far are you shooting ? 15x will take you a mile no problem

As others have said - that's a really good price. Past 1000y I'd want something with more magnification too. Maybe you should buy the scope, sell it and make a $300 for the scope you want!
