I am very fond of the glass in my IOR. I was wondering besides valdada is there any manufacturer that uses the same glass in binos/ spotting scopes?? My search didn't turn up much. Thanks
I think Schott makes over 100 kinds of optical glass. There are different grades and the special sauce is the coatings used by high end manufacturers. My point is don't key on Schott glass, key on quality manufacturer...Zeiss, Leica, Swarovski, etc. Just because somebody uses Schott does not mean they use the upper level stuff.
I don't think that the links provided are in direct response to your question... he's just linking / advertising in his signature.
Let your eyes decide. Even "brand name" glass has high end & low end. It's like in the camera world, just b/c it's Nikon glass doesn't make it great, there are $200 gems and $1200 flops.

For $600? Do tell.
Everything the Swav does, the Kowa Prominar does a little better. It's not Schott glass but once you look through it you won't care, I promise
