Hi guys,

I know you're probably sick of getting asked questions like these. I tried to search everywhere, but couldn't find any info.

Currently I have a Tikka T3 Tactical 24" in .308WIN that I want to use between 100 and 800 meter target shooting. The Tikka sits on a KRG Whiskey 3 Chassis and has it's own scope base.

I've been informed that a base of 30MOA would work for 308 from 100 to 800 meters with a 100 meter zero maybe you guys would know more about this? I'm not sure what base I have attached on the rifle currently and I couldn't find any info about it, however it is a factory base supplied with the T3 Tactical.

The scope I wanted to get is a Nightforce ATACR 5-25X56 with MIL-R reticle and I think milrad increment adjustment.

What would you guys do?

Thanks in advance

I think about it a little differently. 60 MOA in either direction means you could easily get away with a 20MOA base. Won't change a thing regarding the operation of the scope -- until you push out far enough to need the extra range, anyways. In my opinion, always go for an angled base if your scope can handle it. No reason not to.
