Rifle Scopes Scope Cant, need help!!!!!

Im going shooting tomarow, where going to be shotting out to 1000 meters, this will bemy firt time out to that distance. my scope has about 5 to ten degrees of right hand cant on it. am i going to have any problumes ????????

This is your friend, once you properly level your scope, this will HELP take out the minor variations in your position... A small error at that range will contribute to big effects.

1+ if there is a known problem than why leave it? Somtimes there looks to be a can't but then again its the angle your looking through the glass. Place a level up against a wall making sure its perfectly level, I use a 2' level with a small torpedo level on top to reinsure that both show the same level, match the center retical to the levels and call it good. I do shoot with a US optics anti cant which helps for reaching out to those longer shots. Good luck at the shoot!

I didnt have feeler gauges in hand when I did my last scope, so I used a deck of plastic playing cards to level it, worked great, just added enough cards to fit the gap and level the scope to the base.

Great article!!! I got a couple rifles out, checked them and low and behold, even though I thought they were perfect, they were off about 1 degree, not much, but now they are perfect.
