Given a choice between a viper vortex 6.5-20X50 or a leupold VX-II, 3-9X40 which would you put on a ruger 10/22. Mostly for longer distance plinking, occasionally to terrorize a varmint. I have both and will sell one. Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards keeping the vortex - but still a toss-up.

The Viper 6.5-20x44mm it has target turrets. The 50mm will would work also.

My savage has a Nikon Monarch 3-12 with side focus and I love it. For a .22lr I like to have a lower power than 6.5 on the bottom end for those closeup shots on squirrels.
