I have been researching and now I need some advice. I bought a Mark4 LR/T in 4.5-14x40 with TMR and 1/4knobs. It lasted 8 rounds and the elevation turret went haywire, the small oring in the turret came up and binded the turret, this scope will now go on a different rifle after it is fixed. leupold has the scope and they seem great so far. I now need a scope for a savage PC in .308 that is used for shooting from 100-800yds with a little 1000 mixed in this summer for fun. My daughter is signed up for some classes this summer and I dont want equipment failure. I have it narrowed down to these scopes in my price range which is around 1,200.00. the first is another leupy with the FFP, m5 turrets, in 4.5-14x50 that i can purchase for 1,200.00 plus shipping. the next is a IOR in 2.5-10x42 FFP, mil/mil luminated MP-8 ret. I looked at Night force but dont understand options if they dont list milrad knobs does that mean they are moa/moa or mil/moa. The IOR does not have parralax adjustment i still want her to be able to shoot groups like she does now with a burris tactical scope, which are sub 1/2moa most of the time, will the IOR do this. dont mean to sound noobish but I am getting confused. I know what i need mil/mil ffp preferably illum is secondary. thanks

Re: Scope confusion

Thanks i actually have a 4-16 ffp on order from local dealer, he told me february it is going on 300win mag. Iam I gtg on a IOR FFP modified MP8(illum) in 2.5-10x42 they look perfect for the .308.

Re: Scope confusion

I am running an IOR myself, but have you considered the Bushnell 3-12 FFP?

I much prefer an enhanced mil-dot or the MP8, but the bushy is very hard to beat.

If you are okay with mil/moa setup, weaver has to very nice ffp tactical scopes.
