I would avoid the xtr2 and wait for the xtr3 if Burris is your thing. If you can swing the razor then do that for sure.

I have a 6.5 RPR and I went with the vortex pst gen2 , wish I would have held out and got the gen2 razor. The razor is honestly the best option for under 2k IMO
I have a gen 2 razor and love it. Just sold a pst gen 2 and got a etr to try.
Shot with it today and really like it. I think it's a small step up from the pst imho. It has 30x top end and more elevation adjustment. The glass is really good for the $.

Right in the middle is the Athlon Cronus BTR, it’s hard to beat for the price. I have one on my 6.5 and I love it. It’s worth checking into for sure.
The Burris is a good scope, the Vortex is better (for 900 extra clams, it better be).
Between the two are offerings from Bushnell, Sightmark (pinnacle), Athlon and Primary Arms (platinum series).
You won't miss any targets because of the Burris. Very solid scope with Meh glass, but many folks have been running them on match rifles.

If you can't swing the Athlon Chronos get the Ares ETR. Killer scope for the money and Athlon is a great company with a superb warranty.
