scope for ruger markIII

So I'm picking up a ruger mark --- hunter later this week. I have never purchased a scope for a handgun before and I'm looking for suggestions. Mostly plinking and rapid fire on plates to 50yds. Anyhelp would be great. Thanks

For mostly plinking & rapid fire on plates I would go w/ some sort of red dot. I have a Mark II Comp. model and have a red dot on it. Serves the purpose just fine.

Red dot, a scope wont keep up in any kind of rapid fire.

Ultra Dot! Check out Camp Perry competitions. These scopes are consistant. Been running them for years. Contact me for questions. 270-401-6677 ask for Tim. We shoot clays at 100 regularly with them for fun! Solid clicks for elevation and windage and an excellent warranty, not that you'd ever need it, but it's there. You get what you pay for.
