Rifle Scopes Scope Help: NightForce SVH 5-20X56 MOAR

Here is my issue.

Im doing a quick laser sighting to get a rough zero at 100 with this scope on a Rem 700 with 20MOA MARS system.

Problem:
My scope is BOTTOMED out and im still about 20 or so inches high.

I took the turet caps off to see if there was a zero stop installed, but did not see one.

My mount is a ADM QD wit NO built in moa adjustment.

Side Note:
This scope was on my buddies AR10(T) and had the same issue. At 200 yards the windage was perfect but still running about 20” high.

Here is the setup. Let me know if there anything else i should check.

I understand it could be as simple as the scope is mounted too high...

If that is the case, any recommendation on mount/rings that gets me fixed.

Im about 1 1/4” from scope objective to top of barrel.

And about 1/2” from objuective to MARS rail if that helps.

NEVER MIND! Damn zero stop was there after second look and drinking coffee.

Yeah..... in all complete honesty i should have read the manual the first time.


I pooped off the cap and didnt seen a shim system and figured damn.... the scope must be too high on the base...

A few drinks of my expresso roast and i had a thought.... maybe you should read the manual.

It was on page 11 and i was then a happy man. And...my wife wont see another ockage come in the mail
