how important is reticle illumination on a prs usage scope?

have yet to try my first prs match, but came across a deal on a scope, but it isn't illuminated

Only a big deal shooting in low light conditions or from a area of high light into a dark area or with night vision.

Not needed for prs

night matches, its irreplaceable...for me a must

all other matches, ive never used it

gets more use in hunting situations for me

Never used it in a match. Never used it in a hunting situation. But, it can provide contrast when shooting at dark/black targets.

Not essential but I used it on every stage at a recent match. Tagets were grey steel against a grey slate/shingle background on a mountainside. It was pouring with rain and vis was pretty awful. You could get by without it but on days like that it makes a difference.

I use it at almost every match. Shot up targets or targets at darker areas it makes it much easire to get a good sight picture on them. No reason not to have it on any scope now.
