Rifle Scopes Scope mounts

Anyone have any ideas on how best to put a Warne rail on my remm 700 straight, the holes are off a bit and I dont want to use up my windage on my scope, Ive had a few of those standard leupold windage adjustable bases that have always worked loose not a big fan of them, anyone use one of those Hollands bases? thanks

I've never dealt with this issue myself, but from what I understand, the best fix is to have a gunsmith drill and tap the holes to the next size screw so they are straight.

You should first determine whether the rail holes are off or the rifle's. Try to check another rail before you start drilling new holes.
