Rifle Scopes Scope Reticles

I am needing some help in how to tell if Leupold or Premier put the football mil dots in a scope I have. 6.5-20x50mm long range vari-x III.
And no it does not have a sticker from Premier.

Hard to know for sure, but the #10 pattern (USMC Type "football) from Premier is more likely to be retro fitted in a VariXIII, than one from Leupold.

I called both companies. Preimer was no help and Leupold told me that by my ser.# that they were putting football mill dot in this scope at the time it was made.
