Ok, So I am ordering a nightfore NXS 5.5-22 with a 50mm bell. I am gonna mount it on a troy battle rail, does anyone know what the lowest nightforce rings I can use?

Well, you're right in that some rings from various manufacturers will have slightly different heights.
I found what seemed like an oddball ring earlier this summer and after using/abusing them for the past 6 months or so I've really started liking them. Considering the cost is very similar to the brands like NF, Near, Badger, Monarch and I think the technology is a step above both in weight, clamping details and how they handle little inconsistencies on the rails I've come to appreciate the attention to detail that went into American Rifle's rings.
I have the earlier Gen 1's and now I just bought a set of the Gen 2's for my latest rifle. Here's the impromptu review I did on them back when I got the first set.
