I have three rifles and three scopes that I am apparently thinking to much about on how they should be paired up. I know my limits but can handle my own in LR hunting.
#1 M700 26" SS Shilen match, 257Wby
#2 M700 TI 300WSM (factory)
#3 M70 28" SS Select match Shilen, 300RUM
#1 & #3 sub MOA shooters #2 ~1.2 MOA
Scopes
#1 VX-III LR SF 4.5-14x40 duplex
#2 SB 4-12x42 Precision hunter w/ P3
#3 Zeiss 4.5-14x44 Z800 reticle
What started this head scratching was caused by the recent rebarreling of the 300RUM and how incredible it shoots with the Zeiss but I'm questioning the choice of reticles. Also, I'm leaning strongly with adding a BDC knob on the Leupold but not sure which rifle. Finally the SB is on my Ti rifle, bit of a poor choice on such a light weight rifle.
