I was looking at different scopes and noticed that there are 2 different types of mil dots. One being the circle and one looking more like a foot ball. Is one better than the other or is this just a preference thing? And if there is an advantage to 1,what is it? Thanx

welcome to the Hide.....this topic has been discussed much due to the progression of events and how to utilize the subtle differences between them......the search function would be of great use to you.
one system is easier to break up into tenths....the other maybe not so easy....but they were available before what is offered today with reticules like the MLR which are easier to range more accurately with..........
