If you have had experience of hand loading 338 lapua magnum, can you please share the consistent SDs/ES that you have been able to achieve on any 300 grain bullet? I am new to 338's but want to know, what is achievable and a challenging goal.

You are asking a question that will likely solicit a wealth of responses. But I would urge you to look at the thread below related to the statistics.

The 338L should be no different than other centerfire cartridges. If you achieve a SD of 10 to 20 feet per second on a statistically significant sample you are doing well. When you get to single digits you are in a region where you are are loading extremely consistent ammunition. However, don’t get hung up on single digits. Unless the statistics are based on a large sample, comparing a 5 to a 10 SD is a waste of time and components.

Same as anything else.

If you’re planning on shooting extended distances, the goal changes from acceptable sd/es and small groups, to acceptable groups and a small sd/es.

Depending on the distance, 10fps can make an moa change in vertical.
