With my .308 I only plan to load 175 gr SMKs, but for my AR15, I have 55gr and 77 gr bullets. At the moment, I'm only interested in loading to mag length.

Should I expect to have to adjust the seating die between using 55gr FMJBTs and 77gr HPBTs, in order to get each one seated to mag length?

Yes you will have to adjust the seating stem. The easiest way to do it is load up a dummy round with both projectiles and mark them accordingly keep them with the seating die. Back the seating stem out each time you finish. When its time to seat bullets load the dummy into the shell holder and raise the ram into the seating die turn the seating stem down until it touches the dummy.

Thanks for the insight, insight3b. I think I'll end up buying the micrometer seating stem upgrade for the Hornady seating die, and keep notes on the adjustment.
