My scoped AR is my primary varmint rifle. Instead of hauling a shotgun along w/my AR, I'm considering mounting a red dot/holo sight on an angle next to my scope for shots inside 60-70yds. I looked online at the Burris Fastfire but it has real mixed reviews. Any others that you guys are using and would recommend? I have no experience w/holographic sights. Want something small. Rifle is a RRA Varmint w/Leupy scope. Pics of the rigs would be great. Thanks

a lot of people have starting mounting t1's at 1oclock

I'd recommend going with the T-1 and a 1 O'clock offset mount...preferably the Larue LT-724.

If you are not going with an aimpoint then I think the trijicon rmr is the most durable.

What power is your main scope? I would think, other than the neat factor, any thing under 4 power would be good to go from 20 yds out.
