Seekins Havak Pro Hunter PH1

I am brand new here and it is a pleasure to be part of the Sniper's Hide Community.

I am wanting a 6.5 Creedmoor and was thinking the Bergara Premier Approach, but then found a Seekins Havak (with a magpul stock instead of the factory stock) at a good price. Just looking for some advice from people who have shot one or both rifles. I want it for long range fun and hunting at some point as well.

Thank you in advance. Also, I would be open to other bolt action rifles in the same price range of $1600 ish.

I haven’t shot either of those rifles but went through the same decision not long ago. I ended up with a tikka ctr with a aftermarket stock after researching here. Love the rifle.

The only thing it really needs is a trigger spring.

I got a Mpa lite chassis and a manners t6a to try out and have kept both for now. I can’t decide which I like better.

Just googles the Manners stock-- very nice looking! I definitely prefer that type of stock over the chassis type. The CTR stainless 24" barrel was my third choice. Is the bolt and everything stainless on the CTR? Also, does that 0MOA rail come off?

Rail is replaceable. I put a 20 Mpa rail on mine when I got it.

The bolt is coated I think on all and everything else stainless.

I got the 20 inch blued. I would go with a 24 inch for an all Around rifle.

Does anyone know where you can get a Seekins Havak Pro Hunter in 6.5 CM that is not back ordered? They seem to be out of stock everywhere.

The seekins is a great rifle. I just picked up a used 6mm creed in the pro hunter and the fit and finish is amazing. People say the action can be rough but mine is very slick with zero slip. Just starting load development but everything I’ve tried has been .75 moa or better most right at .5 moa.... I’d order one in 6.5 in a second if I had the chance.

I have heard great things. I can find 6 CM but the 6.5 is nowhere to be found. I'll jump on it the second I have a chance
