just got my used premier w a set of seekins rings. i notice if i torque the rings to the base(badger) at 55in/lb the rings flex inward a bit, and the scope wont fit properly. is this normal? atm ive gotem torqued to 20in/lb, then ill install/torque the caps, then torque the base screws. until i hear from some regular seekins users i wont use 55in/lb, ill go w 30.

thx in advance

Re: seekins rings ?

Mine worked fine at 55in/lb but I also used a Seekins alum base. Not sure if the aluminum/steel combo would have anything to do with it.

Re: seekins rings ?

thx everyone. yeppers seekins site says 55 on the bases, i dunno, has anyone other than me ever had to install the caps first, then torque the bases? sure are nice rings, didnt leave even a haze or hint of a mark on the scope(all came assembled)
