Got the base today and it came with four screws.

One longer and one shorter, two of equal length.

When I put them into the base before installing the long one inserted into the back hole and one of the mediums inserted into the next to the front hole extend down significantly further than the medium into the second hole and the small into the last hole.

Is this normal and as intended?

That is how I did it on mine.

You'll know if you get it wrong because the bolt body won't slide in the receiver if a bolt is sticking down into the raceway.

Yup, the longer screws go towards the back end of the rifle. Pull the bolt prior to installing the screws, then insert the bolt and slowly run it home. If the bolt stops prior to bring home, then there's an issue with fastener length. But with Glen's setup, I'd highly doubt it.

But I got long, medium, medium, short

Putting them in that order from back to front the back and the next to front have considerably more thread exposed through the bottom of the base. The second from back and the front are barely through the base.

Re: Seekins Short Action 20MOA Base Screws

Sorry about that. you should have 2 long (rear of base) a medium and a short. There isnt much room for screws in the front and you cannot go longer than what i provided. Sorry about messing up the one screw, email me your address and i will mail you out a few extras
