I need some advice about selling a barreled action online.
What's the procedure to sell a barreled action online and how to ship it out to buyer's FFL?

Thanks!

Like selling anything else online, except you need the buyer to either provide their ffl license number, or their transfer dealer’s number. Google ffl “EZ-check”. That’s the ATF site for validating the number. Ship to the address on the license only.

Thanks. Is there any paperwork I shall sign? I did face-to-face private party transfer (PPT) in California before, I remember seller need sign a form to release the firearm.

It's best to give the FFL a call in advance if they require anything on their end (as well as if they're accepting shipments from private sellers), and they typically are more than happy to answer any of your questions. Many require a photocopy of a driver license. Otherwise, pack and protest it well, ship it via UPS or FedEx, and the faster you ship it, the less likely it is to be stolen in transit. Bill of sale to the buyer can be done via email if you or the buyer prefers it. If you're doubtful on the process, go through a local FFL on your end.

Bottom line, keep it legit and ask questions of those who actually hold the license to get specific information.

No reason to involve a second dealer unless the recieving state requires it. Although I've heard some dealers won't accept from non-FFL individuals, even if not required by state law.

I purchased a barreled action here and it was easy. Just need to get the ffl info and give them a call. Make sure if they will take it directly from a private seller or if it need to go through a FFL. My FFL just required a copy of the seller's drivers license.

Its just easier that way a lot of FFL's say they wont accept guns from individuals, even though they might not really have a chose if its sent to them. Mine only changes $25 for sending stuff out, probably a little less risk as well if its sent from an FFL to another FFL.

Those FFLs that won't accept perfectly lawful shipments from individuals can suck on the big fat cock and don't deserve the money from a transfer anyway.

There's zero risk to doing things lawfully, which includes a non-licensee (non-FFL in ATF-speak) shipping or mailing a long gun to an FFL.
