Semi custom rifle choice

Hey guys, I have been bitten by the Centerfire rifle bug after setting up my savage 308 and I want to build a 243 for varmint hunting, I like the style of the rifle on here, they fit and work well for what I use them for, I just need a bit better 0-300 performance.

If you had the choice would you start with a standard remington action and barrel and shoot it until you wear it out, or buy a savage action and get a custom barrel right off the bat? I plan on running a MCM A5 stock and aftermarket trigger on either one.

I plan on pushing 70grn blitzkings to as fast as I can push em.

Just get a 243 barrel for your savage and swap them whenever you want to shoot either. That way you only have to buy one optic and one stock.

If you like the Savage I would do that. Give JWPrecision a PM, he will hook you up with a McMillan.
