I will have a Bergara HMR Pro in 6.5CM in my hands in a few days. I already have a Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56 FFP that I will be mounting on it. I'm looking to use this as a long range rifle for punching paper and maybe the occasional antelope.

My question is what base/rings should I use to mount this?

I'm currently leaning towards Badger Ordnance 20MOA rail with Vortex Precision Matched Rings.

Agree, your setup will be fine as long as you get a height that works for you. Quality shouldn't be an issue.

Make sure you push the rings forward as you tighten them down to the base. And use the manufacturer torque specs on all screws and you should be fine.

Curious as to why I should push the rings forward as I tighten them down? Thanks again!!

Excellent gun choice.

I got behind this rifle at the Bergara experience in Colorado last year. Was a fantastic shooter. Been waiting to get one ever since.

So there is no scope movement when the gun recoils.

I had never heard this before joining the forum, and I had issues with wandering zero from range trip to range trip. Posted it on here, got some advice, re-mounted my rings while pushing forward during tightening, and the issue went away.
